The founder
Meet Alfie Mackintosh.
Hosted North was founded by Alfie Mackintosh, who was brought up in Manchester and has built his professional background across business management, retail, hospitality and customer-focused operations.
Throughout his career, Alfie has worked in roles centred on leading people, solving operational problems and delivering a consistently high standard of service. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Chartered Manager status through the Chartered Management Institute.
Alfie created Hosted North to give landlords another way to approach an increasingly demanding rental market. The aim is to provide a professional operating partner who can manage the day-to-day work, keep the owner informed and help a suitable property reach more of its potential.
Owners deal directly with Alfie, who remains involved in the properties, relationships and important decisions behind the service.

Hosted North is focused on the North West because local knowledge matters.
Guest demand, seasonal patterns, major events, contractor requirements and property performance can vary significantly between locations. A focused regional approach allows us to make considered decisions around presentation, pricing, availability and the type of guests a property is designed to attract.
We are not building a distant, call-centre-led management company. We are building a local operation where responsibility remains visible, communication stays personal and every property is managed with care.

Our management fee is connected to the accommodation revenue the property generates. Stronger performance benefits both the owner and Hosted North, creating a shared interest in helping the property perform well.
